Tags, taglines, one-liners, fortunes, aphorisms - call them what you will - they're just a bit of fun. Tags are something I miss from when I used to use FidoNet, they are a one line quip, chosen at random from a whole bunch, strapped to the bottom of your messages, preceded by '... ' (that's dot-dot-dot-space). I started using them again a while back, using some bits of perl that David Turner wrote. I eventually got sick of fiddling with the perl, and wanted a nice interface to adding tags too, so did my usual trick of attacking any given problem with a database-backed Web site.

Anyone is free to use this service, but you will need to join (for free) and login. Then you can add your own tags.

There are 1339 tags in the system.

You would have to log in to add your own tags, and create customised signatures.

ash... You will address me by my proper title, you little bollocks!
ash... For a taste of your whiskey, I'll give you some advice.
ash... Fortunately, thanks to computer savvy alcoholics there's an app for that.
ash... "when you let an electrical engineer design a programming language"
ash... All ten are out and the last two were ducks...
